Voice Pilot is a proof of concept (PoC) intended to test the viability and capabilities of interacting with the web via voice commands. Speech is one medium of control that has been gaining traction in recent times. Not only should we expect the web to incorporate speech more for general usage - this also impacts a smaller group of users that have accessibility impairments. Users who have motor impairment and even users with poor eye sight could benefit greatly by allowing speech to control basic functionality.
